Area 51

You know what I find unfair in this world?  It’s that our government wants to know everything it can about its citizens but they won’t let us know anything about them. The government tends to keep almost everything a secret. They leak small information to keep us quiet and controlled. One thing the U.S. government doesn’t like to talk about is Area 51. Now when someone doesn’t like to talk about something, it’s mostly because they’re hiding something, right? When someone is hiding something, conspiracy theories begin to circulate.

Restricted territory of Area 51
Area 51 is a base located in Nevada, 83 miles away of Las Vegas. It is owned by the U.S. Federal Government and is operated by the United States Air Force. To this very day, the U.S. government still has not announced the main purpose of this base. Some say this is nothing more then a weapon and aircraft testing facility. Although, this base is kept in high secrecy, which easily makes it a target of conspiracy theories. The base is also always monitored and is a restricted area. (1)

The most common conspiracy theory related to Area 51 is that the base is involved in extraterrestrial activities. People believe that the base focuses on reverse engineering extraterrestrial spacecraft and may even hold extraterrestrial life forms.  Others believe that the base are working on teleportation and time-traveling technology.

What really got people talking was when a man named Bob Lazar spoke up about Area 51. Bob Lazar, a 55-year-old man, claims that he had worked as an engineer and as scientist in Area 51. He states that he was involved in reverse engineering extraterrestrial spacecraft. He also states that he had saw nine different alien spacecraft. Not only that, but he also states that he had worked on a fuel used in these spacecraft. He claims that this fuel is used for space travelling. The only issue with Bob Lazar is that none of the universities he says that he has attended hold any records of him, nor does the U.S. Government (to have employed him). He says that the U.S. Military had told him to not mention anything related to Area 51 or he would find his family’s life in danger. (2)

I have to admit that this conspiracy theory is really something I think is true. It really gets you thinking what might lie ahead. Who knows…?

The 9/11 Conspiracy Theories

Let’s start off with the biggest conspiracy of all time: the 9/11 conspiracy theories. Now I’m sure you all know why this day is one of the most important days in U.S. history. For those who have been living under a rock and don’t have a clue why it’s so important… here’s what happened. On September 11, 2001, a total of 19 terrorists hijacked four planes mid-way to their destinations.  Two of those four planes hit the twin towers (World Trade Center) in New York City. This collision caused the buildings to collapse and caused an explosion. About 5 minutes later, the third plane had hit the Pentagon (which is the U.S. Military HQ) in Virginia. The fourth plane was reported crashed in a field in Shanksville, Pennsylvania. Reports say that this plane’s target was the U.S. Capitol building but it failed due to the passengers trying to prevent it. 1 An estimation of almost 3000 people were killed during this attack. Reports also say that this attack was sent by a terrorist group by the name of Al Qaeda (sent by Osama bin Laden). This was also all listed in the 9/11 Commission Report.

Now come the conspiracy theories:

1)  People believe that the buildings collapsed due to a bomb that was set off right before the plane hit the twin towers. Now where would they get such a theory? It was reported that survivors of the attack had admitted to hearing an explosion inside the building just before the plane had made contact.  Not only that, but scientists had declared that such a plane cannot produce enough heat to melt the steel holding the towers. 2

2) Another theory would be that George W. Bush was informed that hijacked planes were flying over U.S. territory and were capable of being shot down but the President had given Air Defense the order to stand down. He could of easily prevented this “attack”. 2

    3) Ever hear of something called a Black Box? Well a Black Box is a recording device that records everything that happens on any plane. What makes this so special is that these boxes (4 boxes on every plane) are made to be practically indestructible even after the most severe explosion. These boxes (bright oranges boxes) are not hard to find even after a crash. Never in history were these boxes not found after a crash… except on the day of 9/11 (reported on the 9/11 Commission Report). What a coincidence, right? These boxes could have easily showed what had really happened on these planes. The FBI states that none of these boxes were found (but how is that possible?), yet they are capable of finding fragments of bones and fingernails of victims. A few people that were present after the attack (including a fireman that was sent to help around) have declared that they did find a total of 3 boxes during their search although they were told to be silent by the FBI. I wonder why…

These are just three of many conspiracy theories that involve the 9/11 attack. To this day, people still wonder what really happened. Other people truly believe this was all a conspiracy. There is even people that are willing to do anything to be heard, like this guy below:

Conspiracy Theories?

Ever wondered if the story you heard is true or false? If it's a myth or reality? Well we're pretty much living in the middle of that. News surrounds us every day. The media targets what it thinks to be more important. Then we ask ourselves: is this really all true? Well not everything we hear is true. Many people believe most of the news they hear is nothing but a hoax and that there's something true behind it all. That right there is conspiracy theory.  We've all heard some conspiracy theories that really made us think and question what is being told. Most common conspiracy theories people had heard about are: that 9/11 was all a cover-up, the JFK Assassination had multiple people involved, a weapon by the name of HAARP can control the weather, that NASA faked the moon landings and that Area 51 contains UFO remains and much more.

Now these are all events that had happened in the past, but many of us question these events. Think about it: why has the government put no effort to investigate the 9/11 attack? Or how is it that Building 7 collapsed even after it was never hit? People tend to find out answers, real answers and not something that was generally told by the media.  I'm one of those people.

I’ve been curious in hearing the different point of views of others on what they think really happened in certain events. This curiosity has led me to choose this as the topic of my blog. I will be posting new posts with different conspiracy theories from time to time. Now the conspiracy theories that I will be writing about are the ones that really got me questioning whether or not if it’s true. Feel free to comment and share your thoughts about my posts.
