The 9/11 Conspiracy Theories

Let’s start off with the biggest conspiracy of all time: the 9/11 conspiracy theories. Now I’m sure you all know why this day is one of the most important days in U.S. history. For those who have been living under a rock and don’t have a clue why it’s so important… here’s what happened. On September 11, 2001, a total of 19 terrorists hijacked four planes mid-way to their destinations.  Two of those four planes hit the twin towers (World Trade Center) in New York City. This collision caused the buildings to collapse and caused an explosion. About 5 minutes later, the third plane had hit the Pentagon (which is the U.S. Military HQ) in Virginia. The fourth plane was reported crashed in a field in Shanksville, Pennsylvania. Reports say that this plane’s target was the U.S. Capitol building but it failed due to the passengers trying to prevent it. 1 An estimation of almost 3000 people were killed during this attack. Reports also say that this attack was sent by a terrorist group by the name of Al Qaeda (sent by Osama bin Laden). This was also all listed in the 9/11 Commission Report.

Now come the conspiracy theories:

1)  People believe that the buildings collapsed due to a bomb that was set off right before the plane hit the twin towers. Now where would they get such a theory? It was reported that survivors of the attack had admitted to hearing an explosion inside the building just before the plane had made contact.  Not only that, but scientists had declared that such a plane cannot produce enough heat to melt the steel holding the towers. 2

2) Another theory would be that George W. Bush was informed that hijacked planes were flying over U.S. territory and were capable of being shot down but the President had given Air Defense the order to stand down. He could of easily prevented this “attack”. 2

    3) Ever hear of something called a Black Box? Well a Black Box is a recording device that records everything that happens on any plane. What makes this so special is that these boxes (4 boxes on every plane) are made to be practically indestructible even after the most severe explosion. These boxes (bright oranges boxes) are not hard to find even after a crash. Never in history were these boxes not found after a crash… except on the day of 9/11 (reported on the 9/11 Commission Report). What a coincidence, right? These boxes could have easily showed what had really happened on these planes. The FBI states that none of these boxes were found (but how is that possible?), yet they are capable of finding fragments of bones and fingernails of victims. A few people that were present after the attack (including a fireman that was sent to help around) have declared that they did find a total of 3 boxes during their search although they were told to be silent by the FBI. I wonder why…

These are just three of many conspiracy theories that involve the 9/11 attack. To this day, people still wonder what really happened. Other people truly believe this was all a conspiracy. There is even people that are willing to do anything to be heard, like this guy below:

What do you guys think really happened?

  1. WOW, moussa this is so interesting, I never knew I would learn so much in just 5 minutes, that was just amazing, and i agree with everything, and personally I think that 9/11 was set up, but i'm still not sure on the facts, hopefully it isn't with the government, because I wouldn't know what we would do then.

  2. I agree with you that the ‘attack’ could’ve been prevented. What I find weird is that the same day of the 9/11 hundreds of people called in ‘sick’ and didn’t show up to work that day. Coincidence? I think not my friend. There’s definitely something that’s being hid from us and I’m just glad to hear that there are people actually looking into this unsolved mystery.

  3. The 9/11 conspiracy is one of the few major conspiracy theories that I actually believe to be true. I'm not a structural engineer, but it seems a bit odd to me that a plane could cause a building to collapse like that. It looked an awful lot like a controlled implosion typically used to tear down old buildings. There's just too many things that smell fishy regarding this alleged "terrorist attack."

  4. I had no idea that there were theories that the attack could've been prevented! This post discusses many essentially theories which persuade me to believe that 9/11 is in fact a conspiracy, even though beforehand I'd been weary. Obviously you've done your research and its payed off! Good work Moussa :)

  5. As I'm reading these comments, I'm actually very happy that you guys are open minded about this and actually find this theory possible. Of course, it's only because Moussa was able to make this theory smooth and try to put as many facts as he could in this post to convince us that the theory behind the black box is true. Good job Moussa!
